Young Will was Wonder-Red's childhood self during Earth Defense War II, 20 years prior to the events of The Wonderful 101.
A stubborn troublemaker who thinks he's tough, young Will unexpectedly played a role in the final hours of Earth Defense War II when he snuck onboard a GDA warship to be with his father, Arthur Wedgewood.
Though Wonder-Red frequently recalls his last moments with his father, Young Will's only appearance in the story is during Operation 006-B's flashback sequence.
Young Will is also playable as a Secret Character with the ability to form a unique 
Unite Hand.
Wonderful File[]
A young Wonder-Red, 20 years before he took command of the Wonderful 100. Will has a quiet but steadfast personality, never changing his mind once he has it set on something.
He loves weapons and anything military related, sometimes leaving his preschool to sneak into the Gaia Defense Army's offices where his father works; however, losing his father in Earth Defense War II left a deep scar on his heart.

Although he continues to suffer the lasting effects of that event, he decides to take up his father's mantle and accept the fate of the Earth into his own hands, growing into a powerful soldier.

Wonder-Red's childhood self had bright blue eyes and short blond hair, which was neatly combed in a manner similar to his eventual civilian persona, Mr. Wedgewood. Young Will wore a red polo shirt with a white collar and sleeves, plaid shorts, and brown loafers with white socks.
As Wonder-Future, young Will dons a Wonder-Mask and is armed with the Son of a Hope: a pair of red glove attachments identical to his future self's Vulkan Knuckles, albeit with smaller power gauges on the wrists.
When Wonder-Future activates Unlimited Form, a cape is released from the back of his clothing and protective plates extend from his mask, covering his mouth.
When unmasked, Wonder-Future is reduced to black briefs.
Personality and Traits[]
Will trying to protect his father from Laambo
Described as quiet but steadfast, young Will acted tough and was something of a troublemaker: he would regularly escape from his school to sneak into the Gaia Defense Army's local offices, as not only did Will used to be a fan of weapons and anything military related, he also wanted to be with his father, the GDA Senior Officer Arthur Wedgewood.
In these ways, young Will was actually surprisingly similar to Luka.
Young Will's habit of sneaking into the GDA's affairs eventually spelled disaster in the final hours of Earth Defense War II:
Will snuck onto the GDA warship being piloted by his father (a regular occurrence, apparently,) which was carrying a special Digital Pandemic Missile designed by Professor Shirogane to disable the entire GEATHJERK invasion force. Unfortunately, the warship's missile guidance systems were knocked offline by an enemy attack, meaning Arthur had no other choice but to ram the GEATHJERK Mothership with the warship: a suicide attack that would guarantee victory for Earth.
Though Arthur summoned his friend, the Wonderful One Laurence Nelson, to personally escort Will to safety before making his attack, Will was unwilling to leave his father behind, and even Nelson insisted that instead he take control of the warship himself so that Arthur and Will could escape together.
This argument would end up being interrupted by the GEATHJERK Officer Laambo boarding the warship to take it down: After shielding Arthur and Will from Laambo's initial attack, Nelson was unmasked, and his Wonder-Pendant landed on the floor on front of Will. Though Will had the opportunity to reach for the Wonder-Pendant, he hesitated and ultimately succumbed to fear as the GEATHJERK officer passed by him, forcing Arthur to bravely run out into the open himself to retrieve the pendant instead, after which he was mortally wounded by Laambo in front of Will — a sight that would scar his son forever. Horrified, Will ran out of hiding to his unconscious father's side, only to be cruelly taunted and threatened by Laambo.
Though Nelson was able to drive off Laambo after transforming back into a Wonderful One, Arthur's mortal injuries made the decision for him to stay onboard obvious. Despite Will's grieving protests, Arthur entrusted him to Nelson, and he was evacuated from the warship by the Wonderful One as his father sacrificed himself to win the war for Earth.
This event would go down as the defining moment of Will's life. Even as an adult, Will constantly thinks back on his failure to act in those moments — his failure to save his father's life — and the experience motivated him to truly live up to his father's bravery, vowing to never shy away from battle ever again. Though Will eventually chose to join the CENTINELS rather than join the GDA like his father, Will still dedicated his career choice to his memory, and he believed that even his civilian career as an elementary-school teacher was helping to build the future his father died for.
Gameplay[]
Young Will becomes a playable character once unlocked as the Secret Wonderful One, Wonder-Future.
Wonder-Future is a Unite Hand user with a special ability: Wonder-Future's Unite Hand is lit on fire by default, in the same way normal Unite Hands or Unite Drills are any time your Combo multiplier reaches ×2.50. Additionally, Wonder-Future is only capable of holding a Size 10 Unite Hand, but his Unite Hand throws two fire balls with each punch, letting it deal more damage than a normal Size 10 Unite Hand.
Unlike other secret characters who are automatically switch to when a size 100 Unite Morph is drawn, Wonder-Future is automatically selected any time a Size 10 Unite Hand is drawn instead, regardless of the set Unite Hand user.

- Young Will shares the same voice actresses (Debi Derryberry and Tomomi Yamakawa) as Luka, including using the same voice lines in combat.
- Young Will's kindergarten, Clover Kindergarten, is a reference to Clover Studio, a game development studio considered to be the predecessor to PlatinumGames.
- As Wonder-Future, Young Will's weapons appear as if they're applied to his model incorrectly, and seem as if they are clipping through his hands. In actuality however, Wonder-Future's weapons only seem off because normally the weapons worn by Unite Hand Users are designed as attachments to the black gloves of their CENTINEL-Suits, whereas Wonder-Future's weapons are attached directly to his hands.
