- Wonder-Astronaut is named after Miss Able, a Rhesus Macaque who was one of the first animals to survive being launched into space.
- Wonder-Astronaut's assigned city, Houston, is the location of NASA's Johnson Space Center, one of the agency's most important and well-known facilities.
- Wonder-Astronaut is the one of the only two non-human Wonderful Ones, with the other being Wonder-Yeti. Judging by his appearance and name origin, Wonder-Astronaut is most likely a Rhesus Macaque.
- Wonder-Astronaut's Wonderful Figure can be found before he can actually be recruited. Wonder-Astronaut shares this quirk with Wonder-Toy, Wonder-Babe, Wonder-Treasure, and Wonder-Science (and technically Wonder-Voodoo, although Voodoo is found right next to his Figure.)
