The Shirogane Comet is an all-mighty anti-matter particle weapon created by Humanity in anticipation of the third GEATHJERK invasion. Considered to be humanity's "trump card," the Shirogane Comet is a weapon capable of vaporizing the entire GEATHJERK fleet in mere moments. To keep this weapon concealed from Earth's enemies, it was disguised as a comet and set on a 10-year orbit around Earth, returning within control range just in time for Earth Defense War III.
The Shirogane Comet is central to the plot of The Wonderful 101: all of humanity must hold off the GEATHJERK invaders that made it past Earth's Hyper Plasma Shield until the Shirogane comet can enter firing range to end the war.
An all-mighty anti-matter particle weapon developed by the Gaia Defense Army entrusted with mankind's fate. It floats in space at a massive length of 3000m, a length comprised entirely of the main cannon itself.
The cannon was developed during the ten years following Earth Defense War II, in preparation for another GEATHJERK invasion. It was set on a 10-year period of orbit, camouflaged as a comet, and hidden in outer space, returning to control range within the Earth's atmosphere right in time to meet the anticipated third GEATHJERK invasion.
Requiring an incredible amount of data processing for positioning and firing, the Shirogane Comet's systems were constructed to be controlled with extreme precision by the CENTINELS' "mother computer," Mother Platinum, in order to reduce operating stress, eliminate the possibility of error, and actualize absolute accuracy.
The anti-particle beam fired from its enormous cannon was designed to be capable of obliterating a planet the side of Earth is under three seconds, making it the most trusted weapon for defending the planet from the coming invasion.
The Shirogane Comet's (gigantic) Wonderful File can be found inside a (gigantic) Unite Gun Box located in the second section of the Mission 002 area. The box doesn't appear until after you progress to the next section and come back.

SC-01 Providence
The Shirogane Comet's appearance is based on the SC-01 Providence space colony from Vanquish, a game developed by PlatinumGames prior to The Wonderful 101.
The actual SC-01 Providence makes a cameo appearance in Bayonetta 2's final boss fight, where is often mistaken for the Shirogane Comet.
