The Platinum Code is a hidden cheat code present in all versions of The Wonderful 101. Its primary purpose is to let you purchase Secret Wonderful Ones early. The Platinum Code is as follows:
(Controller directions are entered using the D-Pad)
- Wii U: (While Holding ZR) Up Down Up Right Left X B Y A
- Switch: (While Holding ZR) Down Up Down Left Right X B Y A
- PS4: (While Holding R2) Down Up Down Left Right Triangle Cross Square Circle
- PC (Controller): (While Holding RT) Down Up Down Left Right Y A X B
- PC (Keyboard and Mouse): (While Holding CTRL) S W S A D Middle-Click Spacebar Right-Click Left-Click
While the Platinum Code has been made almost completely obsolete in The Wonderful 101: Remastered by the addition of the Wonderful Code system, which can be used to unlock Secret Wonderful Ones early more easily, the Platinum Code now has a new use in the Remaster in the form of allowing players to toggle between the new live orchestrated background music and the original background music.
Additionally, the Platinum Code remains the only method of unlocking Wonder-Goggles early in any version of the game, and it's also of course still the only means of unlocking Secret Wonderful ones early in the Wii U version.
Secret Wonderful Ones[]
Secret Wonderful Ones are unlocked in five sets of three by entering the Platinum Code while standing in specific locations in-game and while possessing a sufficient number of O-Parts. The code will appear to do nothing if entered without enough O-Parts.
Additionally, you must have completed the game before you can use the code to unlock any Secret Wonderful Ones, otherwise it will appear to do nothing.

Orchestral Soundtrack Toggle (Remaster only)[]
In The Wonderful 101: Remastered, the Platinum Code was given a new use in allowing players to toggle between the new live orchestrated background music and the original background music. This much requested feature was hinted at for some time by Hideki Kamiya, but went undiscovered until he later revealed it on Twitter.
To toggle between the orchestrated and original background music, enter the Platinum Code on the game's main menu after loading a save file: if successful, a PlatinumGames jingle will play. The Platinum Code can also be entered again to toggle the orchestrated music back on. Additionally, this setting is not saved, meaning that the Platinum Code will have to be entered again each time the game is started.
Notice: Due to an oversight, the soundtrack toggle does not appear to work in the PS4 version of the game, as attempting to enter the Platinum Code on the Main Menu will progress through the menu options instead.
Once toggled, for the remainder of game's current session the original background music will now play instead of their orchestrated versions, which includes every instance of the following tracks:
- The Won-Stoppable Wonderful 100: Wonderful Live Version (English Version)
- The Won-Stoppable Wonderful 100: Wonderful Live Version (Japanese Version)
- Tables Turn: Wonderful Live Version
- Wonderful Finish: Wonderful Live Version (English Version)
- Wonderful Finish: Wonderful Live Version (Japanese Version)
- The Won-Stoppable Wonderful 101: Wonderful Live Version (English Version)
- The Won-Stoppable Wonderful 101: Wonderful Live Version (Japanese Version)
The sole exception is the instrumental version of The Won-Stoppable Wonderful 101: Wonderful Live Version played during the remaster's additional credits, which plays regardless of the Platinum Code's effects.
On a related note, players of the PC version of the remaster should consider installing the SilentPatch mod available for the game, which can more easily be used to permanently toggle to the original background music (among other technical improvements.)
The Wonderful One: After School Hero[]
The Platinum Code returns once again in The Wonderful One: After School Hero. After completing arcade mode, hitting all 75 names and titles found in the credits unlocks the ability to play with infinite Power-Up Tickets. To activate this cheat, input the Platinum Code while the game is paused (pause by pressing the Reward Gauge/Subscreen button and then the Menu button at the same time.) The Wonderful One: After School Hero's version of the Platinum Code is as follows:
(Controller directions are entered using the D-Pad.)
- Switch: (While Holding ZR) Up Down Left Right X B Y A
- PS4: (While Holding R2) Up Down Left Right Triangle Cross Square Circle
- Steam (Controller): (While Holding RT) Up Down Left Right Y A X B
- Steam (Keyboard and Mouse): (While Holding CTRL) W S A D Middle-Click Spacebar Right-Click Left-Click
Although using the Infinite Power-Up Ticket cheat doesn't prevent you from uploading your score to the leaderboards when you complete Arcade Mode, your score will be reduced to 0 in any Drill you used the cheat in.
The Infinite Power-Up Ticket cheat can only be used in Arcade Mode. It also must be unlocked before it can be used.
Trivia[]
- The Platinum Code most likely drew inspiration from the well-known Konami Code.
- The inputs of the original Platinum Code are intended to simulate drawing a Platinastar logo using a controller's inputs.[1]
- The Platinum Code also appears in Bayonetta 2 with the same usage. [1]
- The modified inputs used in the Remastered version of the game were never revealed by PlatinumGames; they were discovered by fans.
