Operation 101 is a twenty-ninth bonus level in The Wonderful 101's story mode.

Operation 101 is a challenge level unlocked by completing every single Kahkoo-regah on Normal, Hard, and 101% Hard (the same criteria as unlocking the GEATHJERK Slayer Bottle-Cap.) It's an enormous, multi-level Kahkoo-regah that must be completed in a single session, and features not only the return of some of the game's more difficult Kahkoo-regah challenges, but also entirely new challenges found only in Operation 101.

Completing Operation 101 will make the Infinite Energy Custom Block available to purchase from the Wonderful Mart. Additionally, each of the 31 Missions in Operation 101 are all considered Secret Missions, meaning completing the level is required for the Operation Annihilation Bottle-Cap.

Crash Warning

In both the original Wii U Version of the game and the PC Version of The Wonderful 101: Remastered, Operation 101 is subject to potential glitches that can prevent completion of the level:

(PC) Character Unlock Crash

After earning the final Bottle-Cap required to unlock a Secret Wonderful One, the game may crash after automatically opening the Secrets menu to display the character you've just unlocked. If this crash is consistently happening in your game, you can prevent it by quickly opening and closing the pause menu after the Bottle-Cap is earned but before the Secrets menu is automatically opened: delaying the Secrets menu from opening this way seems to prevent the crash.

With this in mind, both Prince Vorkken and Wonder-Director are extremely likely to be unlocked at the end of Operation 101:

• Operation Annihilation is practically guaranteed to be the final Bottle-Cap required to unlock Prince Vorkken, and the crash is unavoidable as the Bottle-Cap is awarded during a Mission Results screen, which prevents pausing to prevent the crash. This essentially makes Prince Vorkken impossible to unlock normally if the crash is occurring, so if Operation 101 is your final Secret Mission required to earn the Bottle-Cap, it's strongly recommended that you unlock him using Platinum Codes, Wonderful Codes, or The Prince Vorkken (DLC) before attempting to complete the level.
• If Hero Collection is the final Bottle-Cap required to unlock Wonder-Director, and the final Wonderful Figures you have left to obtain are located in Operation 101, you'll have to make sure you remember to pause after obtaining the final one at the end of the level, otherwise you'll have to do the entire thing again if you forget to pause.

(Wii U) Operation 101 Softlock

After completing Operation 101 and viewing the Operation Results screen, there is a high chance that the game will get stuck on the load screen when it tries to return to the Operation Select menu after exiting the level. When this occurs, the game must be reset. Additionally, this softlock occurs before the game saves your progress, meaning your completion of Operation 101 will not saved.

Disconnecting your Wii U from the internet appears to prevent this softlock from occurring, so it's extremely recommended to do so as a precaution before starting Operation 101. Following Miiverse's shutdown, this softlock no longer appears to occur even while connected to the internet, however it's unknown if the softlock would still occur if your Wii U is connected to an unofficial network. The glitch is also known to occur on emulators.

Trivia

• Although Operation 101 is explicitly described as a Kahkoo-regah by the game, it is not actually counted as one for the purposes of earning the You Can Hole Up, But You Can't Hide and GEATHJERK Slayer Bottle-Caps.
