Operation 008-A is the first part of Operation 008 Blossom City: State of Emergency and the twenty-second level of The Wonderful 101's story mode.
Picking up where 007-B left off, the Wonderful Ones and Immorta are briefed on the immediate crisis: the GEATHJERK have all but completely destroyed Blossom City in a focused attack on the CENTINELS Nerve Center, Mother Platinum, in the hopes of disabling both Margarita and the Shirogane Comet with its destruction, crippling humanity's entire defense strategy. In response, the Wonderful Ones are being deployed into the city ruins to rescue any survivors and to protect Mother Platinum at all costs (and to get Luka back.)
On the way to Mother Platinum, the Wonderful Ones are notified that Prince Vorkken has somehow escaped from the Virgin Victory...
