A Kahkoo-regah is a secret base established by GEATHJERK after Earth Defense War II. Normally hidden from view in an invisible dimension, the entrance into a Kahkoo-regah is marked by a pattern known as a GEATH-Circle, which can be circled using the Wonder-Liner to open a portal that allows access into the GEATHJERK base.
In gameplay terms, Kahkoo-regahs are special Secret Missions that feature unique mechanics and increased difficulty, and they award a Wonderful Figure for their completion.
Completing every Kahkoo-regah in the game is the objective of the GEATHJERK Slayer Bottle-Cap. Additionally, completing every Kahkoo-regah also unlocks Operation 101: a special bonus level featuring unique challenges and rewards.
Wonderful File[]
A base made secretly on the Earth by the survivors of GEATHJERK after Earth Defense War II. Normally hidden underground unbeknownst to humans in an invisible, interspatial dimension, it is home to a large GEATHJERK military facility. On its entrance, there is a mysterious circular pattern called a GEATH-Circle, where the guerilla soldiers/aliens manning these posts may enter and exit the base. Advanced intelligence suggests that the entrance of the base may possibly be opened by encircling this circle with a Wonder-Liner pattern and then focusing Wonder-Energy upon it.
Overview[]

A Kahkoo-regah is a special type of Secret Mission which, like other Secret Missions, can be found by exploring side areas, backtracking to previously completed areas, or by performing specific actions that will trigger one's appearance. Kahkoo-regahs are initially found in the form of GEATH-Circles, which can be circled using the Wonder-Liner to permanently transform one into an entrance portal to a Kahkoo-regah.
GEATH-Circles and Kahkoo-regahs only appear on the Normal, Hard, and 101% Hard Difficulty Levels, and are absent on Easy and Very Easy.
Furthermore, Kahkoo-regahs are also considered unique on each Difficulty level: Not only do their GEATH-Circles need to be circled again on each new Difficulty level, but also the enemies that appear during the Secret Mission will be different between Normal and Hard/101% Hard (as with the rest of the game), and the reward for completing a Kahkoo-regah is different on all three Difficulty levels.
A Kahkoo-regah is counted as found once its GEATH-Circle has been transformed into a portal, and after a Kahkoo-regah is completed for the first time, a holographic flag will be permanently planted in its portal. Unlike other Missions, a Kahkoo-regah Secret Mission can be entered and exited freely and replayed as many times as you like as long as the portal is accessible, although only the most recent completed attempt's Mission Results will be saved for the end of level Operation Results.
Mechanics[]

An easy one
Upon entering a Kahkoo-regah, you'll be informed of its main objective/challenge and the Secret Mission will immediately begin. However, Kahkoo-regah Secret Missions have additional restrictions that the game doesn't outright tell you:
- Consumable items cannot be used inside a Kahkoo-regah.
- Kahkoo-regahs replace all Minor Wonderful Ones and temporary members with generic recruits, setting your team size to a specific number in the process (usually 50 or lower.)
- Kahkoo-regahs can restrict what Unite Morphs are available by removing certain characters from your team.
- Vitality works differently within a Kahkoo-regah: rather than a normal health bar, you are limited to three to five hits (depending on the Mission.) Additionally, Custom Blocks such as Ukemi will not restore health.
Despite these restrictions, your Unite Gauge in a Kahkoo-regah is carried over from the main level, rather than being standardized in any way.
Additionally, while Kahkoo-regah Secret Missions attempt to limit your team size and Unite Morphs by removing characters, they don't always remove Secret Wonderful Ones from your team: a fact that can be abused to make certain Kahkoo-regahs much easier to beat by entering with more members than intended, or a Unite Morph that's supposed to be unavailable.
Deaths within a Kahkoo-regah are also handled differently than in the rest of the game, and are also the subject of a version difference between the Wii U and Remastered versions of The Wonderful 101.
In the Wii U version, failing a Kahkoo-regah and selecting YES to RETRY will immediately restart the Mission, but it will also result in a continue penalty on the Operation Results screen. However, selecting NO to RETRY will return you to the level without any penalties, and the Kahkoo-regah can be attempted again.
In the Remaster, failing a Kahkoo-regah and selecting YES to RETRY will no longer result in a continue penalty on the Operation Results screen, meaning there are no longer any penalties for failure.
Kahkoo-regah Locations[]
Every non-Boss level in game has a Kahkoo-regah hidden somewhere inside it, with the exception of Operation 009-A which is the only level to have none, and Operation 009-B which is the only level to have two: This makes for a total of 19, or, when remembering that they are considered unique on each of the three Difficulty levels they appear in, 57 Kahkoo-regah in the entire game.
- The locations of every Kahkoo-regah in the game, as well as the Wonderful Figures they award for their completion, can be found listed on the Secret Missions page.
Rewards[]

The reward for completing a Kahkoo-regah for the first time is a Wonderful Figure, which appears on top of the exit portal after the Mission is completed. A different Wonderful Figure is awarded on each Difficulty level.
Finding every Kahkoo-regah is the objective of the You Can Hole Up, But You Can't Hide Bottle-Cap.
In the Wii U version of the game, You Can Hole Up, But You Can't Hide requires you to find all 57 Kahkoo-regah, however in the Remaster, the Bottle-Cap only requires you to find the Kahkoo-regah in each level on any difficulty, just like the various Finders Keepers Bottle-Caps.
Completing every Kahkoo-regah on all three Difficulty levels is the objective of the GEATHJERK Slayer Bottle-Cap.

Wonderful File No.024[]

- Location: Operation 007-A
The Kahkoo-regah Wonderful File can be found by inserting the Wonder-Liner into a hole located down the right side of the Mission 010 platform (the final Mission of the level.)
This Wonder-Hole requires 100 members, which you are guaranteed to have thanks to the Guyzoch.

Trivia[]

The Crop GEATH-Circle pattern
- Kahkoo-regahs are similar to the Alfheim in the first Bayonetta game.
- The name Kahkoo-regah is derived from "隠れ家 (kakurega)", the Japanese word for hideout. [1]
- GEATH-Circles are a reference to Crop Circles, a famous form of alien/UFO hoax.
- During P-Star's Kahkoo-regah tutorial in Operation 001-A, P-Star says "How to uncover them is a secret to everybody!". This is a reference to the "It's a secret to everybody!" line in the original Legend of Zelda, which is referenced throughout the Zelda series and in many other games.
- Operation 004-A's Kahkoo-regah is the only Kahkoo-regah whose appearance is triggered by a one-time action which can be failed (completing Mission 002 without going underwater,) making access to the Kahkoo-regah impossible unless the entire level is restarted.
- Operation 00A Epilogue's Kahkoo-regah is the only Kahkoo-regah to have a different challenge on all three difficulties instead of using the same challenge for Hard and 101% Hard. It's also the only Kahkoo-regah to not take place in the normal arena.
- Based on the requirement text for various Bottle-Caps, the term "Kahkoo-regah" appears to be an irregular plural noun, meaning its plural form does not differ from its singular form. Regardless, multiple Kahkoo-regah may informally be referred to as "Kahkoo-regahs" on this Wiki where necessary to avoid confusion.
- Unlike other hyphenated compound words used in The Wonderful 101, such as "Wonder-Liner", "CENTINEL-Suit", or even the related "GEATH-Circle", "Kahkoo-regah" is consistently written with only its first word capitalized in-game, which is reflected on this Wiki.
- Because Kahkoo-regah Secret Missions are absent on Easy and Very Easy, any Mission that appears after a Kahkoo-regah in a level has their Mission number lowered by one on these Difficulty levels. All Missions are listed by their Normal/Hard/101% Hard numbers on this Wiki by default, however, any Mission whose number would change on Easy and Very Easy has their Mission number underlined. On desktop, you can hover over this underlined text to view a tooltip displaying the Mission's number on Easy and Very Easy.
- Although Operation 101 is explicitly described as a Kahkoo-regah by the game, it is not actually counted as one for the purposes of earning the You Can Hole Up, But You Can't Hide and GEATHJERK Slayer Bottle-Caps.
