GEATHJERK File

An enormous crab-like space beast protected by a tough carapace.

Deah-Kani adapt quickly to many kinds of environments, and they can be found in places ranging from damp swamps to dry deserts. They require over 3,000 tons of food per day to sustain their enormous energy needs and spend nearly all their time eating as a result. Despite their plodding speed, they greatly enjoy fighting and tend to immediately attack anything that wanders within claw's reach — including aircraft.

Their carapaces are extremely dense, capable of withstanding even a kiloton TNT explosion. However, this armor does not cover the Deah-Kani's joints, which are weak and vulnerable. In fact, many a Deah-Kani has lost a limb after having their joints attacked. Their giant mouths also leave them vulnerable to internal predators, who sometimes crawl inside and eat them from inside out.

The Deah-Kani GEATHJERK File can be found by using the Wonder-Liner to circle the center of the Mission 004 platform (which you may recognize as being the top of Blossom Tower.)

Enemy Weapon

When killed using the correct Unite Morph, a Deah-Kani will drop its Enemy Weapon: the Deah-Kani Claw.

Deah-Kani Claws are 10 charge Enemy Weapons that perform a cutting pinch attack when used. Deah-Kani Claws are fast, attack a very wide area, and deal high damage, making them worth using against most enemies when available.
Due to their extremely large size, Deah-Kani Claws can be awkward to carry through certain areas. In these situations, Unite Ball can be used to move more easily while holding an Enemy Weapon.

As a sharp weapon, Deah-Kani Claws could be used to attack a Nyerk, however, there are no opportunities to do so in the game.

• The name Deah-Kani is derived from "でかい (dekai)", the Japanese word for giant, and "カニ (kani)", the Japanese word for crab.
• Deah-Kanis may be a reference to the giant enemy crab meme.
• Deah-Kanis are subject to a glitch that may randomly prevent their health bar from visually depleting.
• Though Deah-Kanis are described as "Cyborg Space Monsters", a note on their concept art in the in-game gallery states that they are natural creatures that merely resemble mechas.
